Solen Compact

Compact footprint, full-strength heat.

Solen Compact is a traditional outdoor sauna for one or two people, built from 45mm Thermowood and sized to fit a 167 × 120cm space in the garden.

At a glance
  • Seats: 1–2 people
  • Size: 216cm high × 167cm wide × 120cm deep
  • Heater: Harvia electric, included: 4kW as standard, or 6kW for £100 more
  • Power: Standard UK single-phase supply, on its own dedicated circuit
  • Build: 45mm Thermowood walls, alder bench, tinted glass door, Katepal roof
  • Delivery: £395 to England and Wales, or free collection from our showroom
  • Warranty: 2 years on the wood, 1 year on the electricals

Solen Compact is our signature sauna and the smallest in the Solen range. It gives you the real thing: hot stones, soft steam and a timber cabin that holds its heat, in a footprint that suits a patio, a deck or a corner of the lawn.

Design and materials

Traditional Finnish heat

A Harvia electric heater is included. The 4kW heater suits most people; the 6kW upgrade heats the cabin faster and holds temperature more easily on cold days. Pour water over the stones to release steam and set the intensity of each session.

45mm Thermowood

Thermowood is timber modified with heat and steam, so it absorbs less moisture and stays stable through the British seasons. The thick walls hold the heat in.

Raised alder bench

Heat rises, so the raised bench puts you in the warmest part of the cabin. Alder stays smooth and comfortable to sit on at sauna temperatures.

Fresh air, by design

Two vents move air through the cabin: fresh air enters low down and warm, moist air leaves near the top.

Privacy with daylight

The tinted, tempered glass door keeps the cabin private while letting natural light in.

Made for outdoor living

Black Katepal roofing gives the curved cabin a durable, weather-resistant finish.

Who is Solen Compact for?

Homeowners who want a genuine wood-lined sauna at home without giving up half the garden. It suits a daily ritual for one, an evening session for two, or time to unwind after exercise.

Before you buy
  • Space: 167 × 120cm, with 216cm of height and room around the cabin for installation and maintenance.
  • Base: a firm, flat, load-bearing surface such as a concrete pad, paving or a well-built deck. Solen Compact weighs 450kg.
  • Power: both heaters run on a standard UK single-phase supply. The heater needs its own circuit, installed and certified by a registered electrician to BS 7671. The 6kW heater draws around 26A, so have your electrician check your supply first. What the electrics involve.
  • Access: it arrives flat-packed (100 × 117 × 200cm), so check the route from the kerb to its final spot.
Delivery, installation and warranty

Delivery is £395 to England and Wales, £900 to mainland Scotland and £1,500 to Northern Ireland. The Scottish islands are quoted individually, and collection from our Northamptonshire showroom is free. Professional installation is quoted for your location: we build the sauna and set it in position, and the base and electrics are arranged separately. Get an instant estimate.

The warranty covers the wood for 2 years and the electricals for 1 year, on registration.

See our saunas in person at our showroom, by appointment: Ash Tree Farm, Stoke Albany Road, Northamptonshire, NN14 2SP. Book a visit or ask us anything about siting, power and delivery.

Rough estimates to help you plan. Outdoor figures include 45 minutes to heat up, then the heater switching on and off to hold the temperature while you're inside (50% on-time). The weather and how hot you like it make a difference too. Prices use the average UK electricity rate of 26.32p per kWh (Ofgem price cap average, Oct–Dec 2026). Your own bill will depend on your tariff and how you use it.
